Abstract
It is shown that for very strong dispersion management, the energy enhancement depends not only on the dispersion map strength, but also on the ratio between the dispersion difference and the average dispersion. In WDM systems operating near zero average dispersion, this dependence can be exploited to almost equalise the energy per channel. Keywords
