Spin-Dependent Forces in Heavy-Quark Systems

Abstract
The spin-dependent potentials in the formalism of Eichten and Feinberg and of Gromes are generalized. Consistency of the observed spin splittings in the Jψ and ϒ systems with QCD imposes stringent constraints on the type of nonperturbative spin-dependent forces allowed.Keywords
