Abstract
The case of an elderly female patient who developed acute and severe hepatitis with 2 distinct peaks following blood transfusion is presented. The serological markers and histopathology during the 1st attack were characteristic for hepatitis non-A, non-B (NANBH), whereas the 2nd peak was due to hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. EM revealed morphologic equivalents for both hepatitis agents. Keywords
