Structure of fn Configurations. I. Calculation of the Energy Levels

Abstract

In the first of a series of papers on the structure of fⁿ electron configurations the calculation of the energy matrices and the construction of the energy level schemes are discussed together with the approximations that such calculations involve. Several new calculations are reported.
