Abstract
The angular distribution of the direction and polarization of the particles produced from the protons in carbon nuclei by 1.17-BeV/c have been measured in a magnetic-spark-chamber system. From a total of 794 observed the mean polarization was found to be -0.68±0.10. Both the direction and polarization distributions show close similarity to those produced in hydrogen at this momentum.
