Abstract
Studies of the pre-irradiation isothermal fading of glow peaks in thermoluminescent dosimetry grade lithium fluoride have shown that two peaks are associated with divalent impurity-positive ion vacancy dipoles, not one as previously thought. The decay of these peaks is shown to obey second-order kinetics with an activation energy of 085±005 ev. The implications of these results for practical dosimetry are discussed. Keywords
