This publication should be read in conjunction with the paper immediately preceding it in the present issue of this Journal (Woodman & Evans, 1938). It deals with a particular phase of the general problem described in the first paper, to which reference should be made for details about the wider objects of the trials, the design of the experiments and the different manurial treatments to which the subplots were subjected. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
