Abstract
The electro-mechanic systole can be absolutely shortened for the following causes: in hypodynamic heart function of different etiology. In spite of the absolute shortening the systole is, in these cases, in relation to the reciprocal value of ejection resistance too long. The shortened systole points to a small stroke value. In hyperdynamic heart function as a sign of an increased performance of the myocardium. In hyperthy-roidism the shortening appears the more pronounced, the more severe the case is, i. e. the more intensive the thyroxine caused influence of catecholamines. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
