THE PRESERVATION OF BACTERIA BY FREEZING IN GLYCEROL BROTH,

Abstract

A technique for the preservation of bacterial cultures employing freezing at -10C in 15% glycerol broth is described. Several species of microorganisms including some fastidious strains were preserved by the use of this technique for as long as 5 months.
