Solution properties of [(CO)5Mo(pz)] and [{(CO)5Mo}2(pz)]: organometallic analogues of [(NH3)5Ru(pz)]2+ and [{(NH3)5Ru}2(pz)]4+(pz = pyrazine)

Abstract

A comparison of the solution stabilities and spectral properties of [(CO)₅Mo(pz)] and [{(CO)₅Mo}₂(pz)] to the [(CN)₅Fe(pz)]^3–, [(NH₃)₅Ru(pz)]²⁺, and [{(CN)₅Fe}₂(pz)]^6–, [{(NH₃)₅Ru}₂(pz)]⁴⁺ systems is reported (pz = pyrazine).
