Abstract
A theory is presented for one-magnon light scattering by reflection from the surface of a semi-infinite Heisenberg antiferromagnet at low temperatures T<N. The calculations involve deriving expressions for the transverse spin-spin Green functions for the semi-infinite medium, and these results are then employed to obtain the light scattering cross-section. The theory includes an evaluation of the scattering contribution from surface spin-waves, as well as from the bulk spin-waves.Keywords
