Unoperated animals (39) were employed as controls and to determine the M.L.D. of the toxin. In 67 both adrenals were completely excised; in 14 a portion of 1 gland was purposely spared; in 3 only 1 adrenal was removed; and in 2 laparotomy was performed without removing the glands.
