Abstract
Electrostatic energy differences of isobaric light nuclei, estimated by use of the alpha-model, do not agree with experiment as well as those given by Bethe for the central model. The comparison with experiment of the binding energies of alphas in the light -particle nuclei, given by Hafstad and Teller for the alpha-model, is improved by inclusion of the Coulomb energy.
