Abstract
Summary Heat altered erythrocytes are taken up by spleen macrophages without any signs of mechanical strain as revealed by light and scanning electron microscopy. There was no scintigraphic evidence for changed flow rates within the spleen after sequestration of erythrocytes.Keywords
