SIMPLE METHODS FOR THE DEFERMINATION OF THE CONCENTRATIONS OF CARBON DIOXIDE AND OXYGEN IN BLOOD

Abstract
Two methods are described, one for the determination of the carbon dioxide concentra tion and one for the oxygen concentration of blood. By using electrode systems for the determination of the tension of the appropriate gas in solution, reproducible results were obtained and with accuracies similar to those achieved using the methods of Van Slyke and Neill (1924).
