Abstract
Several triterpenes and the tetraterpene perhydro-β-carotene have been identified in the branched-cyclic hydrocarbon fraction of this Eocene shale. The analytical procedure included thiourea adduction followed by combined gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.Keywords
