Abstract
Computation of theoretical electron diffraction images has confirmed the observation of an a〈110〉 + a〈001〉 dislocation pair in beta-brass. The pair probably results from the splitting of a 70° a〈111〉 dislocation, although elastic anisotropy theory predicts that the observed reaction is energetically neutral. Keywords
