Abstract
The mobilities of oxygen and nitrogen ions have been measured using monochromatic vacuum ultraviolet radiation as the ionizing source. The techniques and advantages of the method are discussed. The mobility of the ion, extrapolated to zero , was 2.4 /Vsec while that of the nitrogen ion, identified as , was 2.6 /Vsec.
