Abstract
The gastrocnemius muscle, under a 100-gm. load, in rats anesthetized with Na luminal, was directly stimulated 3 times per sec., the sciatic nerve being left intact. A relatively high level of work output was maintained in some cases for as long as 17 days. Complete fatigue of the muscle was never attained. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
