Attempts to Influence the Elimination of Radiostrontium

Abstract
The effect of SrCl2, Sr-lactate, CaCl2, Ca-lactate, Na-lactate, CaNa2-EDTA and CaNa2-Citrate on the deposition of radiostrontium has been examined in mice. Of the tested agents, only strontium salts and CaNa2-citrate decreased retention if given within half an hour before or after the administration of radiostrontium. Optimal effects were obtained with SrCL2; the effect of Sr-lactate was less. All other agents increased the retention.
