Retraining an autocratic leader.

Abstract
Case material is presented to show the advantages of role-playing as a method of training or retraining leaders: (a) the trainee practices what he will have to do later; (b) the trainer can immediately praise or criticize behavior while it is fresh in mind; (c) other participants may point out the results of the trainee's behavior; and (d) the trainer plays several roles and has good control of the situation. He can make it play-like and enjoyable for the trainees, a condition which helps them in dropping bad habits. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
