Abstract
The Fukuyama-Lee-Rice (FLR) model which describes behavior of incommensurate charge-density-wave (CDW) in quasi one-dimensional conductors is investigated perturbationally with respect to the impurity pinning strength. Some higher order terms are examined explicitly. The results are used to analyze dc nonlinear properties, and are compared with those obtained by the computer simulation on the same FLR model. It is concluded that the lowest (2nd) order perturbational results are fairly good approximation in a rather wide range of the electric field, i.e., \(E{\gtrsim}2E_{\text{T}}\), at least for CWD's in the weak-pinning regime, where E is the threshold field for the nonlinear conduction.
