Climb phenomena in synthetic fluorite crystals

Abstract
Results of experiments in connection with climb of dislocations in fluorite crystals are given. Peculiarities of helical dislocations are explained. Observations concerning rows of closed loop and special features are described and discussed. Double rows of etchpits were identified with the emergence points of the parts of helical dislocations obtained by cleaving through helices.Keywords
