Clinical filariasis due to Acanthocheilonema (filaria) perstans

Abstract
Two cases of severe upper abdominal pain are described associated with a marked infestation of the liver with larvae of Acanthocheilonema perstans, suggestive that this filarial worm can give rise directly or indirectly to marked clinical symptoms.
