A Simple Method for the Determination of Serum Acid Phosphatase

Abstract
A modification of the method of Bessey, Lowry and Brock for the detn. of serum acid phosphatase activity was described, and a detailed description of reagents, standards and procedures given. The normal value of 1.54 [plus or minus] 0.34 millimole units was found. King-Armstrong values gave a ratio of 1.55 to this millimole unit. The advantages of this technique over previous methods of assay were apparent.
