Abstract
A large diameter hot‐electron plasma is produced by electron cyclotron resonance heating, using a slotted Lisitano coil as a launcher. It is found from detailed measurements of the plasma parameters that ne≲3×1011 cm−3 and Te≲40 eV, with a diameter ≊14 cm. High‐energy tails with temperatures of more than 100 eV are observed. Keywords
