Ion Trajectories in the Omegatron

Abstract
The equations of motion for ions in an idealized two‐dimensional Omegatron are solved for the general case of arbitrary initial velocity and arbitrary starting time. A simple picture of the paths is obtained by use of a rotating coordinate system.Keywords
