Abstract
More fat is deposited in the liver of [female] than [male] rats fed in a diet low in protein and high in fat. Under similar conditions young rats have a higher liver fat than old rats on such a diet. Oral administration of an alcoholic extract of pancreas believed to contain a fat metabolizing hormone caused a more rapid disappearance of fat stored in the livers on fasting and reduced the amount of fat in the liver of rats kept on the fatty liver producing diet. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
