Abstract
A serially fed linear array of patches with polarisation agility capability is proposed. The basic element of the array is a cross-shaped patch, coupled to a pair of parallel microstrip feeding lines through two orthogonal slots etched in the ground plane. The array design was carried out by combining an image parameter based network synthesis method with the full-wave analysis of the isolated basic element. A full-wave analysis of the whole array was then accomplished to determine its radiating properties and to validate the proposed synthesis method. Keywords
