Abstract
The elastic scattering of composite projectiles by nuclei is considered in the semiclassical limit. Criteria based on this description are obtained for the incident energy and angular range of data necessary to eliminate discrete ambiguities in optical potentials for such projectiles. We demonstrate the effectiveness of these criteria for elastic -scattering data.
