Abstract
Emetine and diodoquin are regarded as safe amebicides and seem to be especially effective when used together. Study of 9 groups (50 patients each) suffering with amebic dysentery and ulceration of the colon, indicates that a combination of penicillin, sulfa-suxidine, emetine, and diodoquin has given the most effective immediate cures among the Bantu natives of Natal. Keywords
