Abstract
The settlement behaviour of the larvae ofOstrea edulishas been examined in the laboratory. Preliminary experiments indicated that high light intensities (1250 lux) and food-cell concentrations (100,000 cells/larva) stimulated settlement, but varying the temperatures within the range 19–23 °C had little effect. Keywords
