Abstract
Dosage-response curves used for comparing insecticides may change with differences in the time of evaluation after insecticidal treatment and misleading conclusions may be drawn as to the performance of compounds if time of response is not considered. The 3 variables, dosage, response time and mortality, may be graphically illustrated by 3-dimensional models, topographic charts, and alignment charts, but there is no mathematical treatment which makes possible a statement without considerable qualification that one compound is so many times more toxic than another.
