Intergenerational Mobility and the Relationship Between Adults and Their Aging Parents in Sweden

Abstract

Geographic distance and contacts between adults and their aging parents in Sweden varies by social class as well as by social mobility of the off-spring. Middle class adults live further from their parents and have less contact with them. When, however, comparisons are made for those who live near their parents, degree of contact becomes quite similar.
