Abstract
Patch tests to several screening sets of fragrance materials were performed on 20 perfume-sensitive patients. The most common allergens were a jasmin synthetic (18 of 20 patients), cinnamic alcohol (15 of 20 patients) and hydroxycitronellal (9 of 20 patients). More than half of the patients were also contact sensitive to other ingredients of cosmetics and over-the-counter and prescription preparations.
