Abstract
Helicosporous fungi [Delortia palmicola, Helicoma ambiens, H. atroseptatum, H. dennisii, H. machaerinae sp. nov., H. westoni, Helicomyces fuscopes, Helicosporium lumbricoides, H. panacheum, Hobsonia mirabilis, Thaxteriella pezizula, Tubeufia helicoma, Xenosporium berkeleyi and X. larvale] collected in Hawaii are reported and selected species illustrated. H. machaerinae, which appears to occur as a biotrophic parasite on the sedge Machnerina angustifolia, is described and illustrated as a new species. Helicoma westoni and H. atroseptatum are reported for the 1st time, outside their type localities. Most of the fungi reported represent new records for the state. [D. palmicola, T. pezizula and X. berkeleyi are more common.].
