Abstract
The endocrine glands influence anaphylactic reactivity by either enhancing 18283-18293 ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY[long dash]ENDOCRINOLOGY [Vol. 17] 1664 or diminishing shock. This is either due to changes in antibody formation or in the sensitized animal''s capacity to react to renewed contact with the antigen. The paper contains a critical review of the literature. Case histories are presented which further demonstrate the influence of the endocrine glands on the course of allergic conditions. Keywords
