Abstract
The starting-point of the line of thought to be pursued here was some work reported in detail elsewhere (Roth, 1951), on the changes in the electrical activity of the brain produced by electro-convulsive therapy. When the findings were related to the known clinical and physiological effects of E.C.T. three converging lines of evidence could be discerned:(1) The Changes in the Electrical Activity of the Brain Produced by E.C.T. and their Significance.Keywords
