Abstract
A piezoelectric scanning Fabry-Pérot interferometer has been developed and is used in synchronism with a multichannel analyser operating in the multiscaler mode such that each channel corresponds to a definite wave number. The system has been used for averaging very weak signals; it could also be adapted for use with a Michelson interferometer (Fourier-transform spectroscopy) or a scanning monochromator system. Keywords
