Abstract
28 patients being treated with local installations of SK-SD were studied for evidence of systemic responses. 20 had some type of reaction lasting from 12 to 48 hrs. The reactions consisted of 22 febrile responses always associated with leukocytosis, the appearance of formed elements in the urine, and variably with "glycosuria" and proteinuria. On 22 occasions leukocytosis or increased urinary red or white cells were observed in the absence of fever. No delayed toxicity was observed.
