Abstract
The serum electrolyte and Hb concn. of normal fasting rabbits and fasting rabbits after intraven. injection of diphtheria toxin is reported. In diphtheritic rabbits there were: (1) progressive increase in Hb concn.; (2) approximately equal decrease of Na and chloride (3) decrease in bicarbonate; (4) marked increase in serum inorganic phosphate which paralleled the severity of the intoxication. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
