Abstract
A magnetic cloud chamber has been used to observe electron pairs produced by the beam of a synchrotron operating at 65 Mev. The cross section for pair production given by the Bethe-Heitler theory was used to obtain the x-ray energy spectrum. The observed spectrum was in agreement with that expected theoretically. Values of the quantum and energy flux are given in terms of the reading of a Victoreen thimble ionization chamber.
