Contributions to the mammalogy of Chile

Abstract
Life history data, new distributional records and taxonomic notes are presented for 92 forms of mammals found in Chile. This includes 6 didelphids, Rhyncholestes, Desmodus, 3 vespertilionids, 2 introduced leporids, introduced Castor, 36 cricetines, introduced Ondatra, 3 introduced Old World murids, 2 caviids, 3 chinchillids, 2 myocastorids, 6 octodontids, 3 ctenomyids, 2 Abrocoma, 4 Canis, 4 mustelids, introduced Nasua, 3 felids, introduced Sus, 3 camelids, introduced Cervus and 3 native cervids. A number of forms are recorded from Chile for the 1st time. Akodon albiventer berlepschii Thomas stat. nov., [A. berlepschii] is discussed.
