Cross-striated banded structures in cutaneous Leishmaniasis

Abstract
Banded structures were observed in 4 cases of human cutaneous leishmaniasis [Leishmania tropica]. These structures were found in proximity to macrophages containing leishmania and were intermingled with native collagen, elastic fibers and ground substance fibrils.
