Abstract
A small mirror manometer is placed on the bell of a Krogh BMR spiro-meter. The mirror reflects the beam from a lamp on the bell. The esophageal pressure and tidal volume in human beings are recorded horizontally and vertically respectively on photosensitive paper. Lung compliance, work of breathing and respiratory resistance can be calculated from the curves obtained. Keywords
