Pyrolytic Boron Nitride as a Micorstrip Sbustrate Material

Abstract
The use of pyrolytic boron nitride (PBN) as a substrate material for microstrip integrated structures operating at microwave frequencies is investigated in this paper. Measurements on single line and coupled line structures are reported and compared with previously published theoretical work on this anisotropic material. The physical properties of PBN which affect its use as a practical substrate material are discussed.
