Abstract
A virus prepn. in which 70% of the amino groups and 20% of the tyrosine and tryptophane groups were covered by acetylation showed the same activity as that of the untreated virus. Samples in which the amino groups were 75 to 83% acetylated showed 25 to 50% inactivation. Prepns. of phenylureido virus in which 43 to 63% of the amino groups were covered likewise showed no significant change in specific virus activity. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
