The molecular complexity of water in organic solvents. Part III

Abstract
The partial pressure of water in the low water concentration region has been determined for ten binary water–organic solvent systems at 25·0°.Assuming Henry's law to be obeyed by individual molecular aggregates of water, we have calculated association constants for water in the various solvents. Statistical evidence is given to support the conclusions that monomer–dimer equilibrium prevails in some of the solvents and monomer–trimer equilibrium in others.
