Abstract
A comparison of different wavelet transform based texture features for content based search and retrieval is made. These include the conventional orthogonal and bi-orthogonal wavelet transforms, tree-structured decompositions, and the Gabor wavelet transforms. Issues discussed include image processing complexity, texture classification and discrimination, and suitability for developing indexing techniques. Keywords
