Abstract
By using a pseudo alloy atom model the elastic constants of alpha phase Cu-Al alloys are calculated. Although adjustable parameters are fitted to observed data for Cu metal, the behaviour for elastic constants of alpha phase Cu-Al alloys is well accounted for with the pseudo alloy atom model. Keywords
